Autumn Couture

Couture I feel is treading the line between farcical floor length sequin ball gowns and cutting edge cutting and styling. So few designers can afford to produce a Couture collection and even fewer people across the globe can afford to splash the cash on one of these fantasy creations and that's where the problem for me lies. Hours of work, hundreds of pounds, meters of silks and velvets never to be worn again. A show case of vulgarity? Perhaps. Yet here I am. In awe and wonder I look through this years Autumn Couture pictures. I'm envious of the models and the designers. More so the designers, they have the opportunity to create the fantasy princess wardrobe. Because let's face it that's what this is and I can't make my mind up whether that's acceptable.

Armani Privé

Elegant evening wear, Soon to be spotted on red carpets around the world. Its whats expected of Armani Privé and they deliver over and over. The beautiful twilight atmosphere of the colours and show really accent the fabrics and trims used in the collection, light reflecting to catch the last of the days rays or to mimic starlight? I especially loved the use of two models to walk the catwalk in complementing outfits, the pale shell pink and blue suits are a favourite.
